I am new to Tapestry work and I have never used a tapestry fork or beater. I purchased the Schacht Duet beater and I love it. The tins are smooth and glide smoothly through the weft, they are interchangeable and I imagine for those that are more experienced it is a really good thing. It is not heavy and it fits nicely in my hand.

Soft and light, knits up like a dream.

I thought it was great as I had purchase a box set of yarn but decided to use the yarn for something other than making a hat. I needed 135 and 140 yards of 2 colors so the 105 yard skeins were a bit short. The 52 yards of the micro skeins were just perfect. I already knew I liked the yarn.

I was really happy when I finally received my 24-inch Ashford loom. It was in perfect condition, easy to assemble and the price was very competitive. I have been experimenting with different types of yarn for the past few days as I am a newbie when it comes to weaving. Thank god for all these very generous people on the internet sharing their expertise, including Sweet Georgia 😊 I am looking forward to making many scarfs, dish cloths, etc. in the coming months. They will make nice Xmas gifts.
