I was really happy when I finally received my 24-inch Ashford loom. It was in perfect condition, easy to assemble and the price was very competitive. I have been experimenting with different types of yarn for the past few days as I am a newbie when it comes to weaving. Thank god for all these very generous people on the internet sharing their expertise, including Sweet Georgia 😊 I am looking forward to making many scarfs, dish cloths, etc. in the coming months. They will make nice Xmas gifts.

Here’s how I used my party of five’s yarn.

The prosuct (yarn) is great. Advertised as a kit. Unfortunately, there was not a pattern with this "kit". Very offputting.
I contacted the company & tje representative was pleasant, yet told me where i could the patterns or review one of their online classes.
Not particularly helpful.

DK superwash comes in great colors and makes lovely hats! I can barely restrain myself from buying several more skeins

This color iis do rich & vibrant. The little strands of shine running through it makes it special!

I knit a beautiful Doodler shawl by Stephen West with 3 different shades of purple Tough Love Sock. It blocked out perfectly, so squishy with a lovely drape and really comfortable to wear against my sensitive skin.

Very nice warping board, very smooth edges, easy to put together. Very happy the package came well packaged with care.

I haven't been very cognizant of the various breeds of sheep and the characteristics of the yarn made from their wool, except that I always looked for merino because I hoped it would be soft enough to wear on bare skin. But I really wanted a yarn with a bit more body for this sweater, so I tried it, and I'm so glad I did. I don't know if it's true what I read that the yarn doesn't have scales (even without superwashing) but it's certainly MUCH easier to work with. The strands don't seem to snarl together, even being dragged across my lap, and that makes going backwards to fix a mistake such a relief! It's lofty and springy and has
lovely stitch definition. It hasn't made my hands dry
and scratchy - I think the 25% silk contributes to that. I will definitely be using this yarn a lot. My stash of soft, drapey yarns will just have to wait. I'm using the color Strawberry Tea and it's just luscious.

This is an excellent book. Very thorough overview of the tools and techniques. Glad I bought it.
