Targhee is bred from Rambouillet, Columbia, Lincoln, and Corriedale crosses and produces a wool that has 25% long wool and 75% fine wool characteristics. This wool dyes beautifully and is super soft at approximately 23 to 23.5 microns. Targhee wool has a matte finish and feels spongey, making for wonderfully soft and lofty handspun yarns.

Available in bumps of 1 lb (approximately 450 g) of spinning fibre.

Blending It

I have not used it yet but I purchased it to assist me in learning about the breed. I try to do two breed studies a year. I will most likely be blending it with by gorgeous coated Dorset from my boy, Little Joe.
