A Triangular Mosaic Shawl // Design by Emily Wood

This dramatic shawl grabs your attention with a wide block of gradient mosaic colourwork in the center. The zigzags move like soundwaves of rumbling thunder accompanied by the shushing of rain sliding down a windowpane in the easy texture of the garter rib.

  • yarn: 1 skein SweetGeorgia Tough Love Sock in Stealth Mode (MC) (425 yd / 385 m per 4 oz / 115 g skein; 80% easy-care merino, 20% nylon)
    5 mini-skeins SweetGeorgia Tough Love Sock (CC1-5) (1 set of Party of Five Tough Love Sock in Tanzanite), ~525 yd / 480 m per set; 80% easy-care merino, 20% nylon
  • needles: Size 4 US /3.5 mm circular needles, 24" / 60 cm long
    Adjust needle size if necessary to obtain correct gauge.
  • gauge: 24 sts and 35 rows = 4" / 10 cm in Garter Rib stitch, after blocking
    Note that gauge is not crucial, but will affect required yardage and finished size.
  • finished measurements: 56" / 142 cm x 24" / 61 cm at its widest point
