A Colourwork Hat and Scarf Set // Design by Tabetha Hedrick

This hat and scarf set is just as fun and colourful as sprinkles on top of ... everything! With short, simple patterning and easy-to-follow construction, Fair Isle is wonderfully accessible to every knitter, promising ample opportunity for play and exploration.

• yarn: 2 skeins SweetGeorgia Merino Worsted, 1 skein each in Moon Phase (MC) and Custard (CC) (200 yds / 182 m per 4 oz / 115 g skein; 100% easy-care merino wool)
  Also shown in Bubble Wand and Mint Julep (child), and Rose Gold and Starlight (adult)
• needles: Hat Size 7 US / 4.5 mm circular needles, 16" / 40 cm long
  Scarf Size 8 US / 5 mm needles
  Adjust needle size if necessary to obtain correct gauge
• gauge:
  Hat: 20 sts and 28 rnds = 4" / 10 cm in St stitch, after blocking
  Scarf: 16 sts and 24 rnds = 4" / 10 cm in St stitch, after blocking
  For accurate sizing, always take time to check finished gauge
• finished measurements: Hat:
  Brim Circumference: 14 ½ (16 ¾, 16 ¾, 19 ¼, 19 ¼, 19 ¼, 21 ½)“ / 37 (42.5, 42.5, 49, 49, 49, 54.5) cm
  Length: 6 ¼ (6 ¾, 7, 7 ½, 8, 8 ¼, 8 ¾)” / 16 (17, 18, 19, 20.5, 21, 22) cm
  Choose the size that is approx 2” / 5 cm smaller than your actual head circumference.
  Scarf: 7 ¼“ / 18.5 cm wide and 60” / 152.5 cm long
