The Sanderstead hat and cowl make a super cozy pair that's perfect for weekend crafting. Using an indulgent combination of SweetGeorgia Tough Love Sock and Silk Mist yarns, knitters will delight at the easy marling effect paired with luscious cables. Your days just got a little bit warmer!

• yarn: 2 skeins SweetGeorgia Tough Love Sock in Apple Pie (425 yd / 385 m per 4 oz / 115 g skein; 80% easy-care merino, 20% nylon)
  2 skeins SweetGeorgia Silk Mist in Silver (325 yds / 297 m per 0.88 oz / 25 g skein; 60% fine kid mohair, 40% cultivated silk)
  Note: if you are making the small sizes of the hat and the cowl, only 1 skein of each yarn is needed for the set.
• needles: Size 3 US /3.25 mm circular needles, 16" / 40 cm long
  Adjust needle size if necessary to obtain correct gauge.
• gauge: 26 sts and 28 rows = 4" / 10 cm in Cable Pattern, after blocking
  Note that gauge is not crucial, but will affect required yardage and finished size.
• finished measurements: 

  Circumference of hat (unstretched): 16 ½ (18, 19 ½)“ / 42 (45.5, 49.5) cm 
  Height (with brim folded): 7 ½ (8, 8 ½)“ / 19 (20.5, 21.5) cm
  Intended to be worn with approximately 3-4” / 7.5-10 cm of negative ease as the fabric is very stretchy.

  Cowl Top Circumference: 18 ½ (21 ½)“ / 47 (54.5) cm 
  Cowl Bottom Circumference: 28 ¾ (33 ½)” / 73 (85) cm
