Designed to explore asymmetric plaids, the Picnic Plaid napkins pattern creates four soft and generous napkins, perfect for a breezy meal al fresco. This pattern is ideal for colour play and stash busting.

YARN

  • Warp and Weft: 4 cones Gist 8/2 Beam (1680 yd / 1536 m per 8 oz / 227 g cone; 3360 ypp / 6766 mpkg; 100% Unmercerized Organic Cotton), one cone each in: Cobalt (A), Jam (B), Pistachio (C), Mist (D)

EQUIPMENT & TOOLS

  • Loom: 4-shaft loom with a minimum 21" / 53 cm weaving width
  • Tools: 10-dent reed (sleyed 2 threads per dent), boat shuttle with 4 bobbins.

STRUCTURE

  • Weave Structure: twill
  • Warp Length: 3 ⅓ yd / 3 m (this includes 27" / 68.5 cm of loom waste, with 10" / 25 cm for take-up)
  • Warp Ends: 400 ends, includes 2 floating selvedges
  • Warp Sett: 20 epi / 8 epcm
