The knitting is easy, although almost all the techniques may be new to most knitters. This is a super cozy, oversized cowl that will shelter you from the fiercest of storms. The double garter stitch pattern is worked on every one of its 52 rows. The two selvedge ends are joined together in an intriguing and attractive double bind-off similar to three-needle bind-off.

• yarn: 4 skeins SweetGeorgia Yarns Superwash Six in Willow (MC) and 2 skeins Auburn (CC) (115 yd / 105 m per 4 oz / 115 g skein; 100% Superwash Merino Wool)
• needles: Size 8 US / 5 mm circular needles, 40" / 100 cm long
  8 US / 5 mm DPNs
  Adjust needle size if necessary to obtain correct gauge.
• gauge: 18 sts and 16 rows = 4" / 10 cm in double garter stitch pattern using 8 US / 5 mm needles
  For accurate sizing, always take time to check finished gauge.
• finished measurements: 13" / 33 cm x 60" / 152.5 cm circumference
