Square One Scarf
Beginner-Friendly Weaving Pattern for Rigid Heddle Looms // Design by Felicia Lo
Weave a beautifully soft and simple scarf that can be customized through colour. Choose a hand-dyed or handpainted sock yarn for the warp and create your cloth with a variety of colours in the weft to enjoy the colour interactions.

- Warp: 1 skein SweetGeorgia Tough Love Sock in Pine Tree (425 yd / 388 m per 4 oz / 115 g skein; 1700 ypp / 3427 mpkg; 80% easy-care merino, 20% nylon)
- Weft: 1 skein SweetGeorgia Tough Love Sock in Lichen (425 yd / 388 m per 4 oz / 115 g skein; 1700 ypp / 3427 mpkg; 80% easy-care merino, 20% nylon)
Equipment & Tools
- Loom: rigid heddle loom with a minimum of 13" / 33 cm weaving width with 10-dent reed
- Tools: 10-dent reed, (1) boat or stick shuttles, bobbins and bobbin winder (if you are using a boat shuttle), reed hook, heddle hook, paper or warp sticks for beaming the warp (depending on how you dress your loom)

- Warp Length: 1 3/4 yd / 160 cm (includes 15 3/4" / 40 cm loom waste incorporating 12" / 30.5 cm for fringes, 2 1 / 4" for take-up, 7 1 / 2" / 19 cm shrinkage)

- Warp Sett: 10 epi / 3.9 epcm
- Weft Sett: 10 ppi / 3.9 ppcm
- Width in Reed: 12 1/2" / 31.0 cm
- Woven Length: 45" / 114.3 cm
