A Multi-Colour Triangular Shawl // Design by Matt Akers
Who knew that combining multiple colours, yarns, and stitches together could result in such a relaxing knit. Originally designed as part of our 2021 SweetGeorgia Advent set, this shawl is a fabulous project for stash-busting. Assemble your own palette of fingering-weight yarns and enjoy a colourful knit while playing with hand-dyed colour!

yarn: 1 skein of SweetGeorgia Tough Love Sock in Slate (MC) (425 yd / 388 m per 4 oz / 100 g skein; 80% easy-care merino, 20% nylon) and
1 micro-skein set SweetGeorgia 2021 Advent Calendar in Walk in the Snow (CC1-15) (52 yd / 48 m per .5 oz / 14g per micro-skein; 80% easy-care merino, 10% cashmere, 10% spark)
Alternate yarn version: Use 2 full skeins of fingering-weight yarn in place of the 15 micro-skeins. Simply use 1 colour for all the odd-numbered CC instructions and the other colour for the even-numbered CC instructions -
needles: Size 4 US / 3.5 mm needles
Adjust needle size if necessary to obtain correct gauge.

gauge: 24 sts and 48 rows = 4" / 10 cm in Garter st, unstretched and unblocked
Please note that changes in gauge will affect yardage used and final measurements. - finished measurements: 60" / 153 cm wingspan, 26" / 66 cm center depth
