The Cabin Blanket Weaving Kit is the perfect all-in-one set for every weaver. The Cabin Blanket pattern in Felicia Lo’s Double Weave on 4-Shafts course for the School of SweetGeorgia is a fan favourite. It’s easy to see why—a plain weave sett at 12 ends per inch results in a lightweight, soft, and rustic shawl or blanket. We’ve taken her suggested yarn, SweetGeorgia’s BFL+Silk Fine (featuring a long-stapled Bluefaced Leicester wool with a touch of silk), paired it with the pattern and course access and ended up with a Cabin Blanket Weaving Kit that gives you everything needed to weave this cozy project at home.
About the Course
Felicia Lo introduces students to double weave on a variety of looms in her Double Weave on 4-Shafts course at the School of SweetGeorgia. Make the most of a compact 4-shaft loom with a narrower weaving width by weaving a mini sampler project (the perfect bread bag) and double-width blanket! You can read books and look at diagrams all day, but there’s nothing like sitting down before your loom to practice on a beautiful plain weave canvas to bring it all together. Increase your weaving confidence and join Felicia in this course today.
About the Kits
The kit includes eight skeins of a wool and silk-blend yarn in contrasting colours, enough to weave a 43” / 109.5 cm wide by 56.75” / 144.5 cm long blanket.
