This versatile little piece goes from cowl to hat with the use of a more-than decorative ribbon. Super-simple crochet fan lace worked in any range of colours promises an instant gratification piece that you will love gifting this holiday.

• yarn: 3 skeins SweetGeorgia Mohair Silk DK in Lollipop (MC), Mulberry (CC1), Lady Grey (CC2) (218 yd / 200 m per 3.5 oz / 100 g skein; 90% easy-care merino, 5% super kid mohair, 5% silk)
• hooks: Size H-6 US / 4 mm crochet hook
  Adjust needle size if necessary to obtain correct gauge.
• gauge: 2 reps = 5 ½“ / 14 cm and 10 rounds = 4” / 10 cm in fan stitch, after blocking.
  Note that gauge is not crucial but will affect required yardage and finished size.
• finished measurements: Circumference: 19 ¾“ / 50 cm
  Length: 10 ½” / 26.5 cm
