A Colourwork Cowl // Design by Tanis Gray

This cowl of yellow and grey is so much more than grellow – it’s gorgeous! Stranded colourwork is worked in the round as a seamless loop with no visible wrong side. Classic colours get a modern twist that is perfectly warm for winter.

• yarn: 3 skeins SweetGeorgia Merino Worsted: 1 skein each in Cauldron (MC), Silver (CC1) and Mellow (CC2) (200 yds / 182 m per 4 oz / 115 g skein; 100% easy-care merino)
  Also shown in: Fizzy Water, Wisteria, and Apricot.
• needles: Size 7 US / 4.5 mm circular needles, 16" / 40 cm long
  Adjust needle size if necessary to obtain correct gauge.
• gauge: 23 sts and 21 rows = 4" / 10 cm in stranded colourwork, after blocking
  Note that gauge is not crucial, but will affect required yardage and finished size.
• finished measurements:  Height: 7 ¾“ / 19.5 cm
  Length (before grafting): 43 ½” / 110.5 cm
