Riverbend Bias Cowl // a machine knit cowl designed by Barb Barone
The Riverbend Bias Cowl is a perfect blank to practice increases and decreases. It provides the option to learn and practice two different methods of joining edges of knitting together, either seamlessly or with a chain stitch join, all while your stitches are still on the knitting machine.
SKILL LEVEL

FINISHED MEASUREMENTS
- 14" / 35 cm wide x 38" / 97 cm long, or 19" / 48 cm long, once seamed
YARN
- 1 skein SweetGeorgia Silk Mist (325 yards / 297 m per 0.88 oz / 25 g skein; 60% Fine Kid Mohair, 40% Silk) in Sangria
MACHINE SETTINGS & TOOLS
- Machine: SilverReed LK 150 Stitch Setting 8, Tension 3
- Tools: Size 0 US / 2.0 mm circular knitting needle, 24" / 60 cm long
GAUGE
- 21.5 sts and 13 rows = 4" / 10 cm in stockinette stitch with yarn held single, after blocking, measured along one edge
Please note that changes in gauge will affect yardage used and final measurements.
