Top-Down Semi-Circular Shawl // Design By Felicia Lo

Soft and simple, lacey and delicate, Lilac Leaves is a semi-circular shawl knit from the top-down and finished with a border of lilac leaves lace. Lilac Leaves is comprised of four identical, symmetrical wedges separated by “spine" stitches that run from the neck to the hem. A two-stitch garter border runs along either side of the shawl.

Knit this up in either laceweight or a fingering weight yarn for different effect. The shawl can be infinitely modifiable by adding repeats in the stockinette body or the lace border.

• yarn: Lace-weight Version: 1 skein SweetGeorgia Yarns CashSilk Lace in Mist (400 yd / 365 m per 1.75 oz / 50 g skein; 55% Silk, 45% Cashmere)
  Fingering-weight Version: 1 skein SweetGeorgia Yarns Silk Crush in English Ivy (375 yds / 343 m per 4 oz / 115 g skein; 50% Superwash Merino Wool, 50% Silk)
• needles: Lace-weight Version: size 5 US / 3.75 mm circular needles, 32" / 80 cm long
  Fingering-weight Version: size 7 US / 4.5 mm circular needles, 32" / 80 cm long
  Adjust needle size if necessary to obtain correct gauge.
• gauge: Lace-weight Version: 5.5 sts and 9 rows = 4" / 10 cm in St st after blocking
  Fingering-weight Version: 3.5 sts and 6 rows = 4" / 10 cm in St st after blocking
  Note that gauge is not crucial, but will affect required yardage and finished size.
• finished measurements: Lace-weight Version: 44" / 111 cm x 21" / 53 cm Fingering-weight Version: 54" / 137 cm x 24" / 60 cm
