This is the simplest, yet most fun layering piece you can imagine, with endless options for colour. Whether Drifter is worked a single colour, bold colour blocks, or marled with two colours, the button-closed sides and one-piece construction make it a must for the fall season!

yarn: 3 (3, 3, 3, 3, 4, 4) in Mink (MC), 2 (2, 2, 2, 2, 2, 3) in Pine Tree (CC1) and 2 (2, 2, 2, 2, 3, 3) in Deep Cove (CC2) (200 yd / 183 m per 4 oz / 115 g skein; 100% Superwash Merino)
Also shown worked in a marled fashioned (2 colours of Tough Love Sock held together) with Apricot and Classic Blue. -
needles: Size 8 US / 5 mm circular needles, 32" / 80" long
Adjust needle size if necessary to obtain correct gauge. - gauge: 18 sts and 25 rows = 4" / 10 cm in St st, after blocking
