Ethereal and warm cashmere and silk blend together with a meandering fern lace pattern to make a delicate, cozy knit. Only a single skein of lace or fingering-weight yarn goes a long way.

yarn: Lace Scarf: 1 skein SweetGeorgia CashSilk Lace (400 yd / 365 m per 1.75 oz / 50 g skein; 55% cultivated silk, 45% cashmere) in Lakeshore Drive (colourway discontinued)
Fingering Scarf: 1 skein SweetGeorgia Trifecta Fine (370 yards / 338 m per 3.5 oz / 100g skein; 75% Bluefaced Leicester, 15% Mohair, 10% Silk) in Apple Picking (limited-edition Club colourway) -
needles: Lace Scarf: Size 3 US / 3.25 mm needles
Fingering Scarf: Size 6 US / 4 mm needles
Adjust needle size if necessary to obtain the correct gauge. -
gauge: Lace Scarf: 32 sts and 32 rows = 4" / 10 cm in fern lace pattern, unstretched, after blocking.
Fingering Scarf: 26.5 sts and 27 rows = 4" / 10 cm in fern lace pattern, unstretched, after blocking.
