Delicate Fern Lace Patterned Scarf // Design by Felicia Lo

Ethereal and warm cashmere and silk blend together with a meandering fern lace pattern to make a delicate, cozy knit. Only a single skein of lace or fingering-weight yarn goes a long way.

  • yarn: Lace Scarf: 1 skein SweetGeorgia CashSilk Lace (400 yd / 365 m per 1.75 oz / 50 g skein; 55% cultivated silk, 45% cashmere) in Lakeshore Drive (colourway discontinued)
Fingering Scarf: 1 skein SweetGeorgia Trifecta Fine (370 yards / 338 m per 3.5 oz / 100g skein; 75% Bluefaced Leicester, 15% Mohair, 10% Silk) in Apple Picking (limited-edition Club colourway)
  • needles: Lace Scarf: Size 3 US / 3.25 mm needles
Fingering Scarf: Size 6 US / 4 mm needles
Adjust needle size if necessary to obtain the correct gauge.
  • gauge: Lace Scarf: 32 sts and 32 rows = 4" / 10 cm in fern lace pattern, unstretched, after blocking.
Fingering Scarf: 26.5 sts and 27 rows = 4" / 10 cm in fern lace pattern, unstretched, after blocking.
Please note that changes in gauge will affect yardage used and final measurements. To save time and ensure accurate sizing, check gauge.

Love this pattern

Soothing and easy to memorize. It practically knits itself.
