Intuitively flowing from one transition to the next, like the way the winter sun dawns above a horizon of evergreens, this accessory brings rich colour to the forefront. Elegant and softly textural, the almost free-form stitches bring both comfort and ease to your knitting escape.

Winter Dawn is originally our 2017 Advent Shawl pattern that has been re-worked to use our Party of Five mini-skein sets (rather than the 24 micro-skein Advent kit) but of course, you can use any combination of fingering-weight yarns and colours.

• yarn: 1 mini-skein set SweetGeorgia Party of Five Tough Love Sock in Voyage (~525 yd / 480 m per bag; 80% easy-care merino, 20% nylon) or 20 different colours of scrap yarn, 25 yards each
• needles: Size 6 US / 4 mm circular needles, 24" / 60 cm long
  Adjust needle size if necessary to obtain correct gauge.
• gauge: 17 sts and 32 rows = 4" / 10 cm in Garter pattern, after blocking
  Note that gauge is not crucial, but will affect required yardage and finished size.
• finished measurements: 56” / 142 cm wingspan, 24 ¼“ / 61.5 cm deep
