Candystripe Slouch Hat

The Candystripe Slouch takes a mere 50 yards in 5 colours and transforms it into a striped and textured hat that can be completed in a couple evenings of easy knitting. Eyelets and welts add the texture and the quick changes in colour make it an addictive little project.

• yarn: 1 mini-skein set SweetGeorgia Party of Five Tough Love Sock in English Bay, held double (~525 yd / 480 m per bag; 80% easy-care merino, 20% nylon)
• needles: Size 7 and 8 US / 4.5 and 5.0 mm circular needles, 12" / 30 cm (or longer for magic loop, or use double-pointed needles if you prefer)
  Adjust needle size if necessary to obtain correct gauge.
• gauge: 18 sts and 24 rows = 4" / 10 cm in St st, after blocking
  Note that gauge is not crucial, but will affect required yardage and finished size.
• finished measurements: Fits an adult medium head (approximately 20-22-inch head)
