Wrap yourself in a gorgeous handwoven blanket featuring a minimalist and modern approach to colour. This kit provides the yarn needed to weave the Minimalist Double Weave Blanket, designed by Felicia Lo of SweetGeorgia Yarns. This blanket is woven using the double weave technique, allowing a compact 4-shaft loom to create a lap-sized blanket that opens up to approximately 48 inches (122 cm) and settles to 42 inches (107 cm) wide after wet finishing. It's the perfect size for cozying up on the couch for knitting sessions.

The pattern uses SweetGeorgia Yarns BFL+Silk DK, a slightly heavier weight knitting yarn. This yarn, made of 75% Bluefaced Leicester wool and 25% silk, offers a soft, glossy, toothy, textured, and elastic fabric with a touch of lustre. While often used for knitting, it creates gorgeous woven fabric ideal for substantial pieces like this blanket.
The stripe pattern is inspired by the Fibonacci sequence and incorporates a technique to minimize the appearance of the fold line by making colour changes at the fold. The design visually divides the blanket in half: one solid colour half and one half with stripes based on Fibonacci-inspired proportions. With just four colours, the design is minimalist yet has incredible depth through the optical mixing of colours.
