BFL+Silk DK

I'm just starting to make a Tanner cowl with this yarn for a gift. It will be lovely. The colour is striking and the feel of the yarn as I knit is smooth and silky!

I have not used this yarn yet, but it the color is beautiful, and the feel and quality is amazing. There were not enough skeins in stock when I placed the order, but the people at Sweet Georgia dyed more to complete my order and in a very timely manner. Thank You!!!

I haven't been very cognizant of the various breeds of sheep and the characteristics of the yarn made from their wool, except that I always looked for merino because I hoped it would be soft enough to wear on bare skin. But I really wanted a yarn with a bit more body for this sweater, so I tried it, and I'm so glad I did. I don't know if it's true what I read that the yarn doesn't have scales (even without superwashing) but it's certainly MUCH easier to work with. The strands don't seem to snarl together, even being dragged across my lap, and that makes going backwards to fix a mistake such a relief! It's lofty and springy and has
lovely stitch definition. It hasn't made my hands dry
and scratchy - I think the 25% silk contributes to that. I will definitely be using this yarn a lot. My stash of soft, drapey yarns will just have to wait. I'm using the color Strawberry Tea and it's just luscious.
