Thick, tantalizing cables and wrapped stitches combine to create a stunning fabric of texture and warmth perfect for all those cold-weather days. The hat is worked from the bottom up, with a deliciously cozy slouch-style finish that looks chic all year-round.

• yarn: 1 skein SweetGeorgia Merino DK in Fern (256 yd / 234 m per 4.06 oz / 115 g skein; 100% easy-care merino)
• needles: Size 1 and 3 US / 2.25 and 3.25 mm circular needles, 32" / 80 cm long
  Adjust needle size if necessary to obtain correct gauge.
• gauge: 22 sts and 32 rows = 4" / 10 cm in St st with size 3 US / 3.25 mm needle after blocking
  32 sts and 30 rows = 4" / 10 cm in pattern with size 3 US / 3.25 mm needle after blocking
  Note that gauge is not crucial, but will affect required yardage and finished size
• finished measurements: Width Relaxed 14" / 35.5 cm will stretch comfortably up to 24" / 61 cm
  Height 10" / 25.5 cm from base of ribbing to top center of crown
