Polwarth+Silk

A new blend for us, Polwarth+Silk is a decadent blend of 85% super soft Polwarth wool and 15% tussah silk for shimmer. The Polwarth sheep is a mix of 75% Merino (for softness) and 25% Lincoln (longer staple length) and a must-spin in your repertoire!
Polwarth is wonderful for felting, so be sure to treat this fibre gently if you don۪t want to felt it! Fibres compact during dyeing, so pre-draft a little for better spinning. Hand wash and lay flat to dry.
Hand-dyed in professional acid dyes for excellent colourfastness. All our spinning fibre is available in all our colourways.
