Simple Lace, Slouch Beanie // Design By Felicia Lo

North Wind is a quick and simple one-skein hat that features a double-thick cuff to make your winters warmer. The easy-to-remember zig zag lace pattern can be extended for as much slouchiness as you like. The hat takes just one skein of heavy worsted or aran weight yarn, or you can use any of our sock yarns held double to get the same weight.

• yarn: Fingering-Weight version: 1 skein SweetGeorgia CashLuxe Fine in Rosebud, held double (400 yds / 365 m per 4 oz / 115 g skein; 70% easy-care merino, 20% cashmere, 10% nylon) 
  Worsted-Weight version: 1 skein SweetGeorgia Merino Worsted in Riptide (200 yds / 182 m per 4 oz / 115 g skein; 100% easy-care merino)
• needles: Size 8 US / 5 mm circular needles, 16" / 40 cm long
  Adjust needle size if necessary to obtain correct gauge.
• gauge: 18 sts and 24 rows = 4" / 10 cm in lace pattern, relaxed after blocking
  For accurate sizing, always take time to check finished gauge.
• finished measurements: Body length: 11" / 28 cm
  Brim circumference, unstretched: 18" / 45.5 cm
